MEETING
WILL TAKE PLACE
ON THE SANDS,
ON WHIT TUESDAY, MAY 21ST, AT FOUR O'CLOCK,
For the purpose of adopting such measures as may be deemed expedient under the present circumstances of the country, for securing'
as early as possible, the full enjoyment of the principles of the 
PEOPLE'S
CHARTER.

OF THE WORKING CLASSES, AND OTHERS WILL BE PRESENT.
THE PEOPLE are requested to assemble on the SANDS

   It is particularly requested that no persons come to the meeting Armed with any offensive weapons of any description whatever, so that no advantage may be taken of them by the authorities. Let the people be firm and determined; let their mien be bold and erect, like men engaged in a holy and righteous cause; at the same time watchful and circumspect; nor allow themselves to be goaded into the slightest breach of the peace, so that their Enemies may not have an opportunity of persecuting them, and retarding the progress of Liberty.
   It is hoped that the MASTER MANUFACTURERS will see THE PROPRIETY OF ALLOWING THEIR WORKPEOPLE TO ATTEND the MEETING, so that any UNPLEASANT COLLISION BETWEEN THEM may be avoided.
