Cuffay is mentioned in the British press many times. Of course his name is often in the Chartist newspaper the Northern Star, but he also gets mentioned in a variety of other newspapers and magazines including the Times, the Observer, the Standard, the Aberdeen Journal, the London Illustrated News and Punch. In 1848 there seems to be a nationwide campaign to besmirch his name.
